CAD & Jr. Design Associate

About Us:
Hurlbutt Designs is a dynamic interior design firm specializing in creating beautifully curated spaces that balance functionality and aesthetics. We are looking for a talented CAD Associate to support our design team with technical drawings, space planning, and light design work. This position will be primarily working with CAD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify CAD drawings for interior layouts, furniture plans, millwork, and lighting plans

• Assist in space planning and conceptual design development

• Work with designers to develop and refine mood boards, material selections, and furniture layouts

• Support lighting design, including fixture selections and placements

• Generate detailed renderings and presentations for Designer’s review

• Maintain project documentation, including specifications and revisions

• Conduct site visits and measurements to verify dimensions and ensure design accuracy

• Stay up to date with industry trends, new materials, and innovative design solutions

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software are a plus)

• Understanding of architectural drawings, construction documents, and design principles

• Ability to interpret and translate client needs into technical drawings

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

Preferred Experience:

• Degree in Interior Design, or a related field

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) for presentation materials
